Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using KeleleGo ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

KeleleGo is a platform that connects customers who need delivery, freight or cross-border logistics with drivers and logistics partners who can fulfil those requests. KeleleGo facilitates the connection, pricing, tracking and dispute handling, but does not itself transport packages.

3. User accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain multiple personal accounts. Business accounts may add team members under the business's parent account
• You may delete your account at any time from inside the app — see the Account Deletion page

4. User responsibilities

For customers

• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off information, recipient name and recipient phone number
• Ensure packages comply with applicable laws and our prohibited-items list (section 5)
• Pay for services at the price displayed at booking
• Be available, or have a representative available, for pickup and drop-off coordination

For drivers

• Maintain a valid driving licence and any required vehicle insurance and inspection certificates
• Handle packages with care; report damage immediately
• Complete deliveries in a reasonable time and update the order status in the app
• Comply with all traffic, transport and safety laws of Uganda and any country you operate in

For business accounts

• Designate an owner who is authorised to bind the company to these Terms
• Manage team members responsibly; orders placed by a team member are billed to the business
• Settle monthly invoices by their due date

5. Prohibited items

The following may not be booked through KeleleGo:

• Illegal substances or contraband
• Weapons, ammunition or explosives
• Hazardous materials (flammables, corrosives, radioactives) not packed and labelled to international standards
• Stolen goods, counterfeit goods or goods intended for fraudulent use
• Live animals (unless arranged in advance with a licensed partner)
• Items that violate any applicable Ugandan or international law

6. Payments and pricing

• The estimated price is displayed before you confirm a booking. The final price may differ slightly if you change pickup, drop-off or item details mid-trip
• Business accounts may qualify for a volume discount tier; the active tier is shown on the order summary
• Payment is processed through third-party providers (mobile money, card, or cash to driver depending on availability)
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis through the in-app support flow
• Cross-border freight quotes are issued by the logistics partner and accepted directly between you and the partner

7. Limitation of liability

KeleleGo is not liable for:

• Loss, damage or theft caused by misdeclaration of contents, inadequate packaging or recipient unavailability
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, border procedures or other external factors
• Acts of third-party drivers, partners or customers beyond our reasonable control
• Indirect, incidental or consequential damages

For confirmed losses caused by a driver or partner using the platform, KeleleGo facilitates dispute resolution and may compensate up to a published cap, which is shown at booking.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, repeatedly cancel orders without cause, or pose a safety risk. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

9. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes are announced via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through the in-app dispute flow shall be settled in the competent courts of Kampala, Uganda.
